If you haven't read the show, READ IT! READ IT NOW!
I'm a realist, it's just me, Gemini, Fa Sho and Royal at the moment.
I'm giving Hell and Tracy the option to stay, but I'd like to see more improvement from them. If they choose to stay, the others can help them out with their RP's. Gemini is right, it's better to keep the struggling guys and help them get better, than it is to throw them out. That being said, we need to have more people for this to work long term.
BUT, with this PPV I'm maximizing what I have. Here are the rules for this one night round robin.
1) There's going to be an RP thread for every single round robin match. So, that means six threads:
- Gemini vs. Kris
- Royal vs. Swift
- Gemini vs. Swift
- Royal vs. Kris
- Royal vs. Gemini
- Kris vs. Swift.
Each thread has a ONE RP limit. We have THREE WEEKS to post in our threads. So, for example. I have three weeks to post an RP for my match with Royal, for my match with Gemini, and for my match with Sho. (Goes for everyone, just change the names)
You can post in any order you like. For example, I can post for the Royal match first, then the Sho match, then the Gemini match. Gemini can do Royal, Swift, Sho, and so on.
There is no deadline to post your 1st, 2nd or 3rd RP. You can post one RP per week, or all three RP's in one week, whatever you want, but, no 2 RP's in one day.
This schedule is great, because then everyone can post/write on their own time and not have to go weekly. I'm sure all of us can agree that three weeks is plenty of time, and we can all work around our schedules too.
FURTHERMORE:
With the tournament, obviously, we take records into account. BUT, in order to guarantee that it's CRASH vs WORLD title at the end, the structure is as follows:
Whoever finishes better out of me and Royal faces Gemini for the crash title in the tournament.
Whoever finishes worse out of me and Royal faces Sho for the World title.
Then, whoever wins those matches, faces off in the big unification match.
JUDGING:
Now, how will the judging work out? Simple.
We all judge each other's RP's, that we're not part of.
Here's what we're judging:
Me: Gem/Royal, Gem/Sho, Sho/Royal
Sho: Swift/Royal, Swift/Gemini, Gemini/Royal
Gem: Swift/Sho, Swift/Royal, Sho/Royal
Royal: Swift/Sho, Swift/Gemini, Sho/Gemini
I know that ties are possible so...
SCORING SYSTEM:
Four categories, 10 points each (NO DECIMAL POINTS)
Originality
Entertainment
Promo
Match Selling
Originality has to do with how creative you got with the promo, how creative you tried to insult your opponent, things like that.
Entertainment, self-explanatory.
Promo, this is the overall quality/effectiveness of it.
match selling, how good did the roleplayer sell his match/tournament/opponent.
For example:
Say it's me and Gemini judging the Sho/Royal match.
Here's a sample scorecard
Me:
Sho: 9, 9, 9, 9 (36)
Royal: 9, 9, 8, 8 (34)
My vote: Sho
Gemini:
Sho: 8, 9, 8, 9 (34)
Gemini: 9, 9, 9, 8 (35)
His vote: Royal.
As you can see, it's a 1-1 tie. BUT, that's where we add up the scores.
Sho: 36+34 = 70
Royal: 34+35 = 69
In this example, despite the 1-1 tie, Sho wins this sample match because he had a higher combined score from the two judges.
ALL JUDGING VOTES AND SCORES ARE TO BE POSTED PUBLICLY!
So, that's pretty much it. I'll gladly answer any questions. But, let's have fun, kick ass, and let's give people the most competitive card AWR has ever had.
Tomorrow morning, I'm going to make an announcement regarding the sweeping OOC changes to the fed.
