Hey guys if anyone wants to work on storylines I'm always around. Also if someone needs RP help, or can offer some advice to me, just PM me. I have been RPing since 2000 and while i'm not the best RPer ever, I've seen alot and may be able to help you guys, as you guys could probably give some pointers to me.
We seem to have a good core of RPers here, so lets keep this place going guys!

Got a general bit o' RPing advice. Like Slick, I too have been in this game for quite some time, and have been in many different Feds over the course of time, and this seems to be something I've noticed in nearly all of them. Some characters appear 2D, or, not fleshed out. The character usually cuts the same RP as last week stating how he is going to 'Crush that pencil necked geek' that they're facing that week, and pay no attention to how their last match went, and how that made them feel. To get a great story from your RP, you need to show all aspects of your character. What do they find kinda funny? What do they find kinda sad? Are the dreams in which they're dying the best they've ever had (see what I did there?)? In short, what makes 'em tick. What makes them want to have a beer and relax, or spend their nights on the couch with a good book, or even out on the town with their best friend, how does the outcome of the match influence their behaviour out of the ring and vice versa?
Like Slick, I think there is a good core of RPers here, and we should all probably add a little advice as to how we can all get the best out of our RPs

The 4 key things I look for are character development, descriptive writing, attention to detail and logic. A Rp can be decided on the slightest error so the last 2 are important. I once lost a world title because I wrote the PPV name wrong otherwise it would have been a draw.
Plus everything Flammenkrieg said is right. People need to cover all their bases. Recap of what has happened in previous weeks, future intentions, etc. Longer rps by no means guarantee a win either especially if they are a little longer than they possibly needed to be or to fill out some extra space.
Plus ALWAYS mention the gimmick. Back when I started rp'ing there were gimmick matches every week (slick may remember this) like Hell In A Cell and stuff. It did change later on after I started running the NIWF day to day for the second half or so of 2004.
I usually did regular matches for my character but I ALWAYS mentioned the gimmick whenever I was in a gimmick match. Infact I often centered an entire rp around it. The people who were in the gimmick matches every week never even mentioned them normally. In this fed that would probably be an automatic loss.

Another important aspect of an RP to me is a storyline.
Remember, whilst this is a roleplay forum and that it must make mention to the fact that this is in a wrestling world, you are essentially witing a story, and every great story has a central plot, with story series' (which is what we are doing in a sense) must have a running story that carries on week from week. This could be anything from their latest feud to something going on in your characters personal life.
This is, again, technically story writing, and people do read what has been written, if you want to keep people reading, then you need to keep 'em entertained which is easy if you have a running story which can be followed easily. From what I've seen in other feds, the more entertaining writers are the ones who get the big ticks in the winning column
