**The scene opens up inside a packed AWR house show. The fans are watching an uninspiring singles match happen inside the ring, where two unknown wrestlers are grappling it out. Then suddenly, a shotgun blast is heard through the PA system and “Dead Man Walking” by Bloodsimple begins to play. After a few moments, Gunner Hughes comes walking out from the back, raising an arm in the air as he stomps down the ramp and towards the ring. He’s dressed in his street cloths, which consists of jeans and a black sleeveless T-shirt with an orange “GH” logo on the front. He gets to ringside and walks around to the timekeeper’s table, then grabs a microphone off of it and rolls underneath the bottom rope and into the ring. The music comes to a stop, and the two wrestlers stare at Gunner with an offended look, and he glares back at them as he raises the mic to his mouth.**
Gunner: ”I know that there’s officially no time outs in professional wrestling, but I suggest you two exit the ring and take five right now….otherwise it’s going to get real messy in here. Anybody got a problem with that?”
**The two wrestlers look at each other and exchange a few words, and then they both shrug and exit the ring. The referee begins to protest, but a threatening growl from Gunner causes him to reconsider and he also exits the ring. Gunner then walks out to the center and raises the mic to his mouth again.**
Gunner: ”Any chump on this planet can start a fight in the wrestling business, but it takes a warrior to finish one. Slick Doctor, this past weekend at night 2 of the Deadly Game tournament you finished the fight…..and what a hell of a fight it was. For that brother, you have my respect. I didn’t know what to think of you when I first seen your name on the roster, but I know now that you’re the real deal. But one day we will meet inside this ring again, and I promise you Slick the next time I will be coming at you guns blazing!”
**The fans boo at Gunner’s remarks.**
Gunner: ”Anyway, I didn’t come out and interrupt this match just to bitch about my loss at Deadly Game….I have a much higher purpose that that, one that involves the next episode of Crash TV. Ever since losing my match this weekend, I knew that what I needed was to get right back on the horse and go at it again. So I’ve been brainstorming on who I would target for my first appearance on Crash TV. I mean there’s the obvious choice of calling out Slick Doctor since he just handed me my first loss….”
**The fans again boo Gunner, and he laughs as he waits for them to quiet down.**
Gunner: ”But when I really thought about it, it didn’t really make sense to call out Slick. He won our fight fair and square, and I’m not a person to have sour grapes after I lose a fight, so I don’t think it’s going to be Slick Doctor. But instead of Slick, what about this Hell character? Who does he think he is to come in and get involved on our tournament? I saw the brackets, and I’m pretty damned sure I didn’t see his name in any of them. So maybe I should teach him what happens when he sticks his nose in somebody else’s business!”
**The fans really get riled up at these words from Gunner, giving him heat and showing their support for Hell. Gunner laughs again as he waits for them to settle down, then he points to a kid sitting in the front row as he raises the mic back up to his mouth and continues.**
Gunner: ”That’s right junior….give me the finger. Real classy. That just shows the level of parental guidance that you people have in this city. I guess I know where our next generation of fast food workers is coming from don’t we? In any case, I didn’t come out here to call out Hell either. Because the fact is, my night ended as soon as that referee made the three count in my match. I was already back in my hotel room sipping on a cocktail when Hell swung that baseball bat at Anthony Royal’s head. It’s just too bad that he can’t aim worth a damn, because if he could….we’d have a different world champion right now.”
**This remark get a mixed reaction from the fans, and Gunner again waits for their response to die down before continuing on.
Gunner: ”And speaking of our world champion….Anthony Royal. Royal knows deep down that our paths will eventually cross, which exactly why he offered to team with me and avoid the inevitable. Well sorry champ…..it isn’t gonna be that easy. In fact, maybe I should just call Anthony Royal out right now, and avoid prolonging the fight that he already knows is coming!”
**Another mixed reaction from the fans, as they really can’t seem to decide which man would be the lesser of two evils.**
Gunner: ”Well that’s not going to happen either. Why challenge Royal right now…to become the second ever AWR World Heavyweight Champion?”
**He laughs.**
Gunner: ”Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong at all with being the world champion, but I’d rather just sit back and let Royal sit on his throne, picking away at the morsels as he enjoys his false sense of power. He may not know a great deal about me, but one thing he does know for sure is that someday I will take that title belt from him, and the longer he waits for that day to happen the longer of a fall it will be for him.”
**Gunner turns and walks to the edge of the ring, looking towards the back.**
Gunner: ”No, I’m not out here to challenge any specific person…but instead every single person on the AWR roster! Like I said when I first stepped inside this ring, any chump can start a fight, but it takes a warrior to finish one. I’m ready to prove again that I'm a warrior. The only question is….is there anybody on the roster who’s ready to try to prove me wrong?”
**Gunner stares toward the backstage, appearing to be awaiting a response. He then turns and walks back to the center of the ring and raises the mic back to this mouth.**
Gunner: ”I’m a patient man, and I understand that news probably travels slow in a backwoods slum of a town like this. So you hillbillies just be sure to spread the word on the internet when you get back to your trailers parks tonight. Let the rest of the AWR know that Gunner Hughes is on the loose! As you were gentleman.”
**Gunner’s music plays again, and he motions to the two unknown wrestlers to resume their match. He climbs out of the ring and tosses the mic back onto the timekeeper’s table, and then he walks back up the aisle and disappears into the back as the scene fades.**
