The return of Canada’s Hero was something that many have vowed they would never see. It was a sight that those close to him had said would never happen. He wouldn’t have the courage, the fight, the perseverance to step back in the ring. Last week he did just that…..
Steal walks to ringside taunting Slick who releases the hold. Slick is about to exit the ring but suddenly Weaver rolls him up from behind! Weaver has hold of the tights...1,2...3!!! Steal laughs like a retarded hyena as Slick furiously rises to his feet. Weaver has no chance to celebrate his win as Slick delivers the DOC-TORE DRIVER!
It was a cowardly move by both men involved. Steal and Slick Doctor by all means stole the thunder away from his first win in AWR. A win that will be a sign of things to come, and should have sent tremors shaking through the very foundation of the company. To be interrupted by anyone seemed like a joke, but to beat Slick Doctor and then have him to deliver his finisher after a loss was more like a slap in the face.
Shortly after the match had commenced Canada’s Hero made himself available to the media to discuss what happened at the end of the match.
Canada’s Hero: Look. I’m not going to come out here and act like an arrogant fool like half of the wrestler’s in this company have already done in the few days I’ve been here, but I am going to tell you one thing. Interfering in a match if you have a problem with someone, hell that’s fine. However, what Slick Doctor did to me after the match is something that he is going to learn to regret. I want a re-match. I don’t want to hear him say he would have won if Steal didn’t interfere or he would have done this or that. No excuses! Man vs. Man. I won the match but yet I’m the one left laying on the ground from the Doc-Tore Driver. Are you kidding me? Emily let’s go!
With that a victorious Canada’s Hero in his first Crash TV appearance heads out the locker room door and towards the parking lot with Emily holding his hand steadily beside him. She consoles him with a warm, affectionate look while unlocking their hands and brushing his back slightly. The camera watches the two walk through the double doors and into the parking lot where a running white Lexus awaits them. Canada’s Hero jumps in the passenger side as Emily slides slowly into the back of the car and it speeds off.
Three days later….
72 hours have passed and it is now time to let go of the past and move strongly ahead to the future. Emily has begun to step up her own training in hopes of getting into top physical shape as well. With Canada’s Hero working out daily again and gaining muscle and cutting fat she is looking to do the same. It’s contagious the way these two dedicate themselves to the ring.
Canada’s Hero is seen on the bench press in the background with weights loaded onto both sides of the bar. Headphones loaded into his ears as he begins to pump the weights.
It almost looks like “old times” again. Many things have changed, but many have stayed the same. The biggest of these is heart and dedication. It’s back…. A drive to be the best again. A drive to win and to stop at nothing and go through any obstacle that’s in the way. The obstacle ahead this week will be none other than Jason Howard, but deep down another obstacle is still there and that man is Slick Doctor. No one, not even his own family, would get away with treating him like that. A finishing move from behind after the match is already over. Are you kidding me? All these thoughts are flying through his head as he lays the bar back on the rack and stands up.
